Usher Ministry

"For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness." Psalms 84:10

The Ushers Ministry at Saint Paul Baptist Church have a love for people, a heart to serve others, a willingness to be faithful, and the ability to give and follow direction with an Attitude of Servanthood. They maintain an atmosphere in the sanctuary conducive to worship and teaching of the Word of God by first, arriving ten-fifteen minutes before our service, to check to ensure that the church is clean before seating our guests.

We make sure we have bulletins, tissues, fans and other tools to aid in the worship service. We lovingly greet and seat each guest as they arrive. We assist in the collection of the tithes and offerings, we are there to answer questions as well as give directions if needed. Finally, we patrol the church for any items which may be left behind after service, and pick up loose paper from floor and pews.
